Is anyone safe anymore?
Once in a while I receive many stories of survival, which are worth sharing. Here is the second of two stories sent by ministers from the Philippines.
A Miraculous Escape from Death – by Allan Carolino
I was part of the group who did groundwork for Dr. Dan Smith Crusade held in General Santos City in Mindanao, Philippines. We held satellite meetings in one of the churches and that particular Friday evening on June 15th, I sent a text message to my wife and my youngest daughter to come and join me. My wife sent back a text message stating they were leaving Kidapawan City on a Weena bus around 4:00 pm. Along the way, the bus made a few stops in the towns before General Santos City. When it stopped in the town of Bansalan, some of the passengers got off. But a passenger noticed a backpack that was left on the seat (as if left on purpose).
Uneasy about the left backpack, the passenger quickly picked it up and handed it to the bus conductor. The bus conductor looked inside the backpack and then quickly exited out of the bus carrying it with him.
He had just stepped out a few steps when the backpack exploded!
The conductor, the bus driver, and 7 other people outside the bus were killed.
My wife and my daughter were still inside the bus – SAFE – together with the rest of the passengers.
We know that Satan is always trying to stop us, especially with our work in spreading the gospel, but God is more powerful than Satan. I thanked God for sparing the lives of my wife, my daughter and the other passengers.
Psalms 91: 9 – 11: “If you make the Most High your dwelling—even the LORD, who is my refuge – then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent. For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.”
