A Crippled Man Asked to be Baptized

(38 precious souls were baptized in Pedagan District)

AMI Bro Mario hut

Brother Mario Timbao has 13 children and live in this rundown hut up in the mountains of Mindanao. He became crippled after he was involved in a motorcycle accident with his brother. Sadly, the brother died.

Pastor Marlon Manlapao gave a crusade up in the mountain and Brother Mario’s wife and children had accepted Jesus and were baptized. Brother Mario later also wished to be baptized in the river a mile and a half away from their house. But the path going down was steep and treacherous. How will he make it to the river? Yet, Brother Mario got his wish. As you can see in the pictures, he was carried in a hammock. I can only imagine how Brother Mario felt. After the baptism, taking him back up the mountains, though not easy, was a joyful journey for this crippled man.

If Jesus were here today, He would have said, “Brother Mario, get up and walk.” But that time is coming for sure and what a wonderful day that will be for Brother Mario and for those who have accepted Jesus.

John 5:8,9 “Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.” And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked.”

Thanks to all our sponsors for your faithful support through the years. Someday, we will meet Brother Mario and the thousands of precious souls who found Jesus through this noble work of this ministry. To God be the glory!

We would like to build a small house (with a roof that does not leak) for this poor family. We need around $500 for this house building project. If you wish to help, you may send to:
