Psalm 100:4: “Enter His gates with thanksgiving, and His courts with praise! Give thanks to Him; bless His name”.
Adventist Institute of Advanced Studies in Manila, Philippines hosted the 27th Theological Forum on God’s Justice Amidst World’s Injustices
The AIIAS Annual Theological Forum, “Theodicy: God’s Justice in an Unjust World,” drew participants from diverse corners of the globe, gathering to discuss the profound questions surrounding the existence of suffering and evil in a world under a just God.
The forum, held at AIIAS in November, explored the theological dilemma of theodicy, seeking to unravel why a just God allows the persistence of suffering. It aimed to foster discussions on the challenge of reconciling the existence of evil with the goodness of God. Keynote speakers and other participants presented various insights and perspectives spanning philosophical, theological, and pastoral views.
Several of our adopted ministers attended the forum and were energized and encouraged to continue to work for the Lord. They were very grateful for this rare opportunity!
Floodwaters came after a heavy downpour as the crusade was on-going, however, over a hundred people remained and listened to the gospel in spite of. Romans 10:17 says, “So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ”. Praise be to God, at the end, 7 precious souls accepted the call. There are so many people accepting Christ through baptism, we are glad that the adopted ministers not only nurture them before and during baptism but also after they have been baptized and continue giving Bible Studies to those who haven’t decided yet. The newly baptized members need someone to continue to pray for them, encourage them to remain faithful until they’re deeply rooted in their newly-found faith. We thank God for our sponsors because it’s you who are making this happen. Thank you for sharing your blessings with the adopted ministers, that way they can continue to be present and ready to be of service to God! Through your monthly support and generous giving, the adopted ministers can provide a little for their families. They need their families to be able to give them emotional and spiritual support and understanding as well especially for those adopted ministers who are assigned away from them. Working for the Lord is a “team effort.” We’re all in this together until the day God calls us home! |
